Company History

Cascadian Headquarters in Cornelius, Oregon

In the spring of 1966, Cascadian Landscapers, Inc. was founded by Fred Meisner. The primary focus was in residential landscape, but that quickly changed when in 1969, Cascadian branched out into commercial landscaping.

In 1971, Fred Meisner started Cascadian Nurseries, Inc., which is still in operation, and Arthur Meisner became the sole owner of Cascadian Landscapers, Inc. in 1998. Today, Cascadian is privately owned by Patricia Meisner who holds the position as President/Treasurer, and Arthur Meisner who serves as Vice President/Secretary.

Cascadian Landscapers, Inc. is a family operated company with strong core values that are a significant part in the management of the company. Our business environment is comprised of commitment, integrity, synergy, determination, and selfless service.

From 1966 to present, Cascadian Landscapers has worked on projects as far North as Adak, Alaska and as far South as Medford, Oregon. Projects completed over the years include: The Nike World Campus, The Africa Bush and Alpine Exhibits at the Oregon Zoo, Skamania Lodge in Stevenson Washington, Lewis & Clark College Campuses, Historical Timberline Lodge Amphitheater, Tillamook Forestry Center, Tillamook Cheese Factory, and many parks in the Portland Metro Area.

We obtain many characteristics that set us apart from others in the way our company is managed. They are what has kept us in business since 1966 and maintained our stellar reputation as a landscape contractor. Our employees ensure specifications are followed completely. We have a well-trained landscape construction staff. There is close project involvement by management on every job and management follows through on accountability and responsibility.

Community Involvement

We see a great importance in contributing to our community and we do this by reaching out in a few different ways. We volunteer our services by providing landscape construction services through site planning, intensive labor, management and organization of the community members at volunteer events, operate machinery, aid in installation of items, help to encourage safe practices, and materials transportation to site such as plants.

For example, landscape design services for Newberg Rotary Club; landscaping services for the Oregon Food Bank; irrigation services for River District Community Garden in Downtown Portland; equipment loaning, site furnishing, and construction services for Monte Villa Little League; and volunteer management and organization, planting, maintenance and irrigation for Calvary Chapel.

We have also provided volunteer services for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) and various shelters throughout the Portland Metro Area. In addition, we make donations to the other following organizations we feel serve our community in outstanding ways: Kids on the Block, YMCA, Children's Cancer Association (CCA), and CFF.
